| The Autonics TCN4S uses a J-type thermocouple. |
The Autonics TCN4S this is an inexpensive temperature controller that uses the relay inside the temperature controller to turn the heater on and off.
Over time, the relay in the TCN4S temperature controller itself starts to fail and causes erratic temperature control.
The only remedy is to completely replace the TCN4S controller itself. |
| If the TCN4S controller fails, we may recommend adding a solid-state relay to the Control Box to make it last longer and control the heat better. |
